How Will Apple's New MacBook Pro Impact AAPL Performance?

Will Apple's New MacBook Pro Bump Stock Prices in the Near Future?
Depending on the metric, Apple almost always shows up somewhere in the top 10 of tech companies globally. But it's also a well-oiled and highly effective marketing machine. Every product announcement generates buzz, and Apple even hosts enormous events aimed at hyping upcoming or potential releases. With so much excitement surrounding the Apple culture and new products, it's easy to wonder how new product releases impact stock prices. What should investors expect from AAPL come the arrival of the much-heralded new MacBook Pro, for example?
AAPL Tends to Rise Following Major Announcements

The hype surrounding Apple events and announcements definitely churns investment waters. Typically, the stock sees an uptick either the day of an announcement or the day after, and in some cases, the rise occurs over both days.
Historically, AAPL usually turns in a positive performance for two months following announcements or product releases. That trend doesn't carry a shield against major market factors, though. It wasn't the case in 2008, for example, when the entire market was gasping in a recession period.
Specific Considerations for the New MacBook Pro Release

The 2021 MacBook Pro has been a long time coming. A long time in the world of technology, anyway. It was originally teased for a summer 2021 release, but supply chain hijinks and other factors pushed it off. Apple announced the official release of the new MacBook Pro in an event on Oct. 18, 2021.
The AAPL price at 9:30 am EST on Oct. 18 hovered around $145.85. By 1:30 pm EST, it had jumped to $146.55. And by 9:30 am EST on Oct. 19, the price was around $148.89. Obviously the trend for slight bumps the day and day after an announcement held true.
Can investors bet on a few months of overall good performance from Apple now that the new MacBook Pros are definitely coming?
Stock prices don't exist in a vacuum, so investors can expect impact from other factors. Apple also announced a new "Voice" plan for Apple Music and upgrades to products such as HomePod and AirPods. Those may drive alongside the MacBook Pro in impacting AAPL performance.
