After more than 15 years of hibernation, Acura is bringing back its popular Integra model. At a special event in Los Angeles, Acura finally released a prototype of its 2023 Integra design to give car lovers a glimpse of what the newly resurrected model will look like.
True to the Acura Integra’s history and what most expected, the new 2023 model is very similar to Honda models, specifically the Honda Si. While many of the new model’s performance specs are yet to be released, Acura did announce that car buyers will have the choice between a 6-speed manual and automatic transmissions.

While details about the automatic version are yet to come, the manual model will come with a 1.5 -liter I4 engine complete with Integra’s first-ever factory turbocharger. Since this engine is quite similar to the Honda Si model, it’s assumed that it will match the Si’s 200 horsepower and 192 lb/ft torque.
When solely looking at the engine, it may be hard to distinguish between the 2023 Acura Integra and the Honda Si, but when it comes to design, there’s no confusion. As with all Acura models, the 2023 Integra will maintain its higher-end, luxury look. The four-door hatchback with a modern roofline that seamlessly runs back to the rear lip spoiler provides a sleek coupe-like look, which may be enough to satisfy those car buyers hoping for a two-door Integra model. Just as with the original Integra models, its name is proudly engraved under the passenger side's taillight and the drivers-side’s headlight.

The 2023 Acura Integra prototype was released in an Indy Yellow Pearl color, which the company says was used to show homage to its Phoenix Yellow color, predominantly used on the Integra Type R.
Acura is expected to release the 2023 Acura Integra with a price tag of about $30,000. If Acura is able to deliver the Integra at this price level, it brings it close enough to the cost of the Honda Si that it may be able to entice more customers away from Honda. While only time will tell, early signs are promising for the success of the 2023 Acura Integra.
